I’m in favor of eliminating discrimination and being fair to everyone. But if society is chasing equality, it will never happen. If we somehow made everything totally equal at 8:00am tomorrow, with all income and opportunities equally distributed, by lunchtime it would be unequal. Someone would figure out a way to work harder or smarter and get ahead of the next guy, and some would gladly hand over their money and opportunity for some reason or another. Equality of opportunity is something we should all seek; equality of outcome can only be achieved by making everyone equally poor.
