Luling is supposed to be on the "BBQ Trail". Any comments on any worthwhile Q in Luling? Thanks

A little place called City Market, been in the top rated for a long time.

It’s worth the stop on the way to Lockhart, San Marcos, Austin, Bastrop, Elgin, ....

When I ate there I thought their brisket sucked! Would not go back. Spend 45 minutes and go to Lockhart and get some great Q
cheers

I didn't care for City Market.

Agree go to Lockhart. Lexington has Snow's, which I have never been, but it is #1 rated in Texas.

City Market well known for pork ribs, loose hot links, sauce and Either Big Reds or Shiners. These are all excellent choices and very tough to go wrong. I think it is still cash only, but they have a well used ATM. No one goes there for their brisket.

A very, very good Bar BQ destination.

I agree, Lockhart has several much better BBQ places for brisket ... Kreuz Market, Blacks, Smitty's

Luling City Market was a complete disapointment for me. We stood in line for ever and I was standing next a lady that was cutting her brisket with a knife. I asked if it was that bad and she said "yes".

Lockhart known for clod, chops and hots. Used to not even provide sauce.

Luling Market was a disappointment in my opinion. Louie Muller, Blacks and Smitty’s are far better.

Has anyone been to Snow's? Wondering if it's lived up to the hype.

Smitty's is my favorite, I like the avocado option.

Around 11 on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago. Thirty minutes later and I would not have tried.

I got the clod when I should have gotten a chop (my bad). Their hots are outta this world good. And yes, the avocaders are pretty much a must.

Avocado is an underrated add to have with bbq.

I spent several months working in that area. I ate at City Market, Kruez, Blacks, & Smitty's dozens of times. I was doing the Keto thing and literally ate BBQ every single day. Kruez is probably my favorite followed by City Market and then Smitty's. Black's isn't horrible I just like the others better.

Did you get a chance to try Chisholm Trail BBQ?

None close. I have The Swinging Door at Pecan Grove and Dozers at Fulshear.
