My daughter is 13. Started shooting when she was 5, first deer out of a blind when she was 6. Been calling coyotes with me since she was 6. Year and a half ago started sitting over feeders in the dark, sitting in the back of the pickup, shooting pigs with me. Last week we put a cell camera up over her pig barrel trying to pattern a big boar. He was coming real regular but 4 days ago he went on walkabout like he does sometimes. He had been running everything else off the barrel but since he has been gone some sounders have started showing back up. Last night we started getting pictures about 9 pm. My daughter was about to go to bed but I asked her if she wanted to try a stalk. She said, "Are you serious?" I said yes and she jumped out of bed like a rocket and started getting dressed. We loaded up in the truck real quick and headed to her spot about 15 miles away. We parked about 250 yards away in the thick mesquite brush country. Wind was quartering and we had to play it just right. It was a dark night and I have to give her credit for stalking through thick brush, with it very dark, being able to hear fighting pigs the way we were going. She carried her own rifle on tripod. Basically just tucked right in behind me and followed me in. We got set up about 65 yards from a sounder of 20-25 pigs. Both of us were shooting standing off tripods. Both with 6.5 Grendels. Me with a Thermion XQ50 (that is where the video came from), and her with a Hogster R 35. This spot is very thick and the pigs disappear nearly instantly when the shooting begins. Basically I had told her to pick the biggest one on the right side and I would shoot one on the left. Instead of stressing her by counting down I told her to just tell me when she was getting ready to shoot, and when she shot I would jump in. Worked pretty good. Hers dropped on the spot, mine ran about 100 yards. On the way home she told me she was ready to start stalking pigs with me and my partner when we go out at night. She said "I got this, I can handle it." And it looks like she can. Bad news is she is stealing my new tripod that I really like. https://youtu.be/gasskMvQ-Ss

Aw, she's takin' your tripod? Small price to pay for a good hunting companion. Good work on the hogs!

Aw, she's takin' your tripod? Small price to pay for a good hunting companion. Good work on the hogs! Yeah, not a cheap tripod and head! But light and stable and she likes it. I am back to the old one I had been shooting for a couple years that is heavy, loud, and not near as stable. But whatever. I'll just start saving up again I guess.

Thanks for all the complements and replies. I have been down the last few days with Covid. Feeling quite a bit better now. Enough better i think we can probably go out again tonight and go get a couple of sows that have been hitting the barrel every night. She is ready to go whack some more pigs.
