I sold a great condition 3 screw Blackhawk about 10-15 years ago for $500 and paid for the shipping...
About 6 months to a year ago I was offered a Henry 30-30 with brass receiver and octagon barrel for $700 and didn't buy it because I was looking for a case hardened version. Found out later my wife, who I was looking for, likes the brass better. These are going for like $1200 on gun broker now.

I have more. How bout you?

IMO, you can take the prices on gun broker with a grain of salt right now. Like gun shows, the online auction sites have become places where people are selling guns at inflated prices to panic buyers who have more money than they have sense. The same is true for ammo. If you're patient, I suspect you'll find a Henry with a brass receiver elsewhere for a much more reasonable price.

Yeah I'm sure the prices will come down. But I might have sold it on GB right now if I had bought it before. lol

Freaking 870s are going for like $1000 on there right now. I'm not sure if that's because of Remington or panic buyers.

I sold a gorgeous blue, Gen 1 Delta Elite to buy .... I don't remember, but I instantly regretted the decision.

I sold a Marlin 30-30 many years ago and was kicking myself for selling it.
The wife got me a 1950 Winchester Model 94 a few years back to shut up my complaining. That gun is in mint condition. I am good.
I sold a Taurus 357 once that I later tried to get back. My SIL got me a stainless Ruger 357. Love that gun.
I must be an irritating complainer, I keep getting guns to shut me up.

I don’t have many regrets but am considering selling about half a dozen really nice guns that no longer fit my collecting interest, and am worried about regretting it.

Oddly enough, one of them is a 1st Gen blued Delta Elite in the box. smile

Bought a Beretta M1 Garand in shot peen stainless. Didn’t know anything about it and the day I bought it a guy at work offered $1200 for it so I sold it. Turns out it was worth $2000-$2400. bang

The worst thing I can think of is building my first few right-handed rifles to shoot matches. I shoot left-handed and I didn't realize the disadvantage until I was on the clock. I've replaced those rifles with lefty actions now but I placed 3rd or 4th in a few matches that I could've placed higher in if I didn't run out of time on some stages from breaking my cheek weld to cycle the bolt, AKA: I should've listened to JG the first time he told me. bang

Some guns I've sold that I wish I still had:

Remington 700 BDL 7 mag - this was a 60's or 70's model with the ribbon checkering. Bolt was still jeweled. Miss this gun the most.
CZ 527 American .223 - this was the most accurate rifle I've ever owned.
CZ 550 Varmint .22-250
Weatherby Sub MOA 257 weatherby mag

I'll own the first two again someday.

Not me but my mom pawned my grandpas old pre-64 Model 94 when I was a kid and never could get it back. We was poor though so I'm not mad. Still kinda stinks that it would be mine now.

Only gun I regretted selling at the time was my Anschutz 164 sporter. But now I have a 54 sporter with a much nicer action, trigger, and stock, and it only cost me $200 more than my 164 sold for, so I don't mind it now.

Otherwise I don't really regret selling much else, and I've sold a bunch. I don't understand the "I don't sell guns" crowd. I buy too much to not sell anything. And I kind of enjoy finding a good deal, trying it out, and then selling it for the same or a hair more - essentially a free rental.

I've always eventually improved upon my mistakes. Sold a Marlin 25MN because the offer was stupid high, regretted it, eventually found a marlin 783 (tube instead of box and older) with a real walnut stock and original Marlin leather sling for what I got for the 25MN. Refinished and repaired many a Marlin 60 (and variants) I never thought I wanted back because they were $150 rifles but now they're $250+ so I guess there's regret there but only in volume.

Friends...that's where the regret is. A friend sold a nice Garand he got in the '80's for $150 for $600. Probably worth at least double that. Same friend sold a WW1 era Army issued 1911 with matching holster and "original" parts for the equivalent of $500.

Pass the gravy.

Regrets:

Sold Arsenal SGL21
Sold Saiga 12

Now those are no longer allowed to be imported and likely never will be again. Thanks Obama. At least most of what people regret selling can still be bought in US. I also had a 5.45x39 AR with 5 cans of ammo I sold pretty cheap because 5.45x39 was plentiful and dirt cheap but its dried up now.

No regrets selling one but I do regret loaning a .22 rifle to a co-worker whose son would later sell it to feed his drug habit. It was the first and last time I've ever loaned out a firearm.

Remington 788 that my dad bought me for my first deer rifle. Sold it when I was getting divorced from that evil ;>/"&. I was in dire need of the money. Also sold a T/C hawken about the same time. I Sold a bunch of other guns during that time, but, if given the opportunity to buy either one of those back, I'd pay over market value for sure!

my biggest regret is one I let get away. Was at an auction and let a Remington 16 gauge side by side get away, sold for $95. Should have tried harder.

Shortly before the assault weapons ban years ago, I sold a Steyr AUG and a HK91. It wasn't long before those grandfathered guns were worth 4X what I sold them for.

Then early last year I cleaned out a bunch of cabinets and sold a bunch of 44 mag, 5.56 and other ammo at the auction in Chico to get rid of it. It brought a fraction of what ammo is going for now.

God is so good to me.

I sold a rifle on here in 2011 or maybe 2012. It was a Remington 700 5R .308 stainless that I had put into a McMillan A-5 stock. I can’t remember who I sold it too on here, but I hope one day it pops back up.
