Probably not shooting it very far.

SWFA.com SS 1-4X for $500, or a 1-6X for over $800.

Stepson has the 1-4X, I have the 1-6X. The 1X is true, you can get a sight picture at ten feet. On 6X, I've managed 500 yards.

I too love the 1-4 or 1-6 or 1-8 type setups. We have a Trijicon accupower in 1-4 that I love.

There is a trijicon 1-8 that is high on my wish list. I think I'd go ahead and get 1-6 or 1-8 with the very healthy budge u have.
