Anyone buy whole tenderloins or ribeyes and cut them up? Sure saves some $. I have to remember to cut them thicker as they flatten out. Walmart Choice tenderloin $10.82/lb

I love to cut my own out of wholes. You can be much more particular, and trim them exactly to YOUR tastes and expectations. Beautiful!!

Dinner tonight. I eat only one grilled to medium rare with a baked potato, and something green.

Looks good Bill, as far as chain stores I prefer Walmart or Kroger beef over HEB. $13.99/lb is a good price for cuts, Walmart sells choice tenderloin steaks at $18/lb.

The best part of cutting a whole tenderloin is cutting around 8" of the tip and leaving it whole to cook over a wood fire. Steaks are good but the charred chunk of meat is outstanding. food

Ever make tenderloin nachos with the end cuts. Try it. You might like it. I put cilantro in there.
