From The Trace;
In a sign of potential unrest among NRA board members, dissident director Phillip Journey has found an ally. Journey, a Kansas judge who served on the NRA board in the 1990s and was reelected in 2020, wants an independent examiner appointed in the NRA's Texas bankruptcy case to investigate the group's compliance with nonprofit law, perks paid to top executives, and related matters under legal scrutiny. The NRA opposes the idea. Rocky Marshall, who replaced a board member who resigned in January, recently sent an email to his fellow directors arguing that they faced liability for not meeting their oversight obligations and needed to become more engaged. "We must find our voice again and reestablish our credibility with all NRA members!" Marshall wrote. He urged board members to consider joining in Journey's request to appoint an examiner. On Tuesday, the attorney representing Journey in the bankruptcy notified the court that he's also representing Marshall. — Will Van Sant, staff writer

The NRA just needs to dissolve. They have lost so much credibility it's pathetic.

One bad apple is spoiling the bunch.

If one person there would retire or just leave, everything would change for the better.

My last donation went to GOA, and I am an NRA Endowment member. Sad

There is something fundamentally wrong with a society that thinks a skid row bum who can't read or write should have his vote count as being just as important as a rocket scientist and then at the same time argue the law abiding citizen should not be trusted with owning a firearm.

Our most powerful weapon is our right to vote, yet no identification or test is required. We are seeing evidence of what damage this powerful weapon can do in the hands of evil and ignorant people. Far more damage will be done by the result of these votes than can ever be done by a law abiding citizen owning any type of firearm.

Yep, check up another HUGE win for the Democrats, They have now defeated the NRA, a number one goal of theirs.

They have everything "we" have printed on Playing cards, Defeating the NRA, getting its members to turn on them, Is their ACE of Spades. Ace of Diamonds is destroy the U.S. Constitution and rewrite it. Ace of Hearts gun confiscation. etc. etc. etc.

Just like we have terrorists on playing cards in order of their danger. Bin Laden was our Ace of Spades. He's dead, as is the NRA.

I’m a Life Member but it seems the life span is getting shorter every day. I would hate for the NRA to be dissolved but they have such corruption at the top that little can be done at this point. Sad situation. I hope there is a solution but doubtful this can be resolved.

Again from the Trace;

“Special meeting” of the NRA’s board of directors set for next weekend. The event, scheduled in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday, comes two weeks after a previously scheduled meeting related to questions about the NRA’s bankruptcy was canceled. “The purpose of the meeting is to provide a legal briefing to the Board regarding the NRA’s plan of reorganization and other pending matters,” a new internal notice reads. The meeting of the gun group’s 76-member board comes after Phillip Journey, a Kansas judge and board member, asked a federal bankruptcy court to appoint an independent examiner to investigate the gun group’s executive leadership. As we reported last week, Journey has since found an ally on the board in Rocky Marshall.
