I’ve had several with no issues.

I'm a big fan and own 4 SIIIs and a STAC. The SIIIs are Japanese and STAC is Philippines. The SIII glass is really nice, turrets are good, one of the SIII's clicks are a little soft but still pretty good. I have box tested all of them and they all track perfectly although my 8-32x56 clicks are not .25 MOA are actually .248 MOA. I also don't think the clarity on the 32X is quite as crisp as my 6-24X50s but I guess thats to be expected. I use the STAC 4-20x50 as a backup scope and accuracy testing on new rifles.

The only problem I've ever had was with a 2-17X56 STAC I bought that didn't have enough elevation. I sent it for repair and since that scope had been discontinued they could not repair/replace it they let me upgrade at no cost and picked out a new SIII that I wanted. At one point I lost a scope cap and called them to purchase a replacement, they just sent me a new one at no cost. And yes, they actually answer their phone when you call. smile

Bottom line Sightron offers a lot of scope for the money and stands by their product.

I have shot F/Class all over. People who shoot sightron are trying to save money. Nothing wrong with saving money. But a Sightron scope has never won a national match. There is a reason. Sightron is a starter scope to see if you have what it takes. Hell i believe last years F/TR nat. winner used a Golden Eagle scope

It’s too bad you can’t figure out mil and first focal plane.

Below is good. Don’t have the Platinum series which are made in Japan but I have the cheaper Gold series made in Philippines with this reticle on 223 Tikka CTR and the cheaper scope is amazing for the price.

Ok why does mil and ffp matter. I have both and like mil better. But Sightron glass is not up to my standards. As far a ffp i dont need ffp for my type of shooting

I believe that post was directed at Buzz......if not, why would he follow up recommending a scope to you.

Perhaps he was right with his final comments.

It doesn’t matter. I was just recommending a Primary Arms scope but it only comes in Mil & FFP. I know Buzz usually likes MOA and SFP. He no likes MILs even though it’s vert simple.

I looked at that Primary Arms, its a nice scope. Sightron has a new SV series which looks very appealing. They are hard to find. I have a dealer checking on one.

Primary Arms happens to be here in Houston, Pearland.

The PA Platinum or whatever high end scope line they have is surprisingly good. I don't have any experience with Sightron. The only good comparisons I have is my swfa 5-20, an xtr ii and a someone else's khales 6-24.
I'd say the swfa and xtr are pretty close if not the PA is just slightly better looking through. Seems brighter, but barely. Functionally, I really can't say there would be a difference in how it can perform other than the magnification difference. Lord knows I know I trust my swfa in terms of ruggedness.
Compared to the Khales, the PA is not even close. There is something about the coloring effects of the Khales that I really like compared to the few other scopes I'm more familiar with. Mkaes edges of objects lok crisp to me. It might have something to do with astigmatism and wearing glasses.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!
