Well after 40 years in Texas I am moving back to Arkansas. No more deer hunting in Texas, but I will be hunting more than ever on my old stomping grounds. Bought my sister's single wide and am remodeling it. I have 200 acres to hunt on and my best friend's offered to take me bear hunting. I will be taking him up on it.

Arkansas does have a good bear population, a few have been spotted on my parents property! But Arkansas has a better Mountain Lion population but they protected.

Go ahead and buy a lifetime license before you go- gives you the option to come back and hunt without having to pay for an out of state license.

Where you moving to? I lived in LR for 3 years and Springdale/B'ville for 2. Spent a good bit of time up in Mtn Home, down in Eldorado, alot of time driving in between. I'd go back to S'dale/B'ville, no amount of money could get me back to LR.

Moving to Mt Pleasant AR, not far from Batesville, grew up here as a kid and teenager. The down side is my Dad is now on hospice and probably will not last the month. He's a strong Christian and almost 90, he's seen a lot in his life but these last few years have been hard for him, Mom is 82 and taking it hard but will be ok.
