Was out driving pastures looking for pigs last night and ran across a few coyotes. Shot them with the 6.5 Grendel and 95 VMAX. Thermal was my XQ50 Thermion using the red monochrome color palette. Distance was about 250 and 200.

Nice shooting. That color scheme kills my eyes and causes a headache. What speeds are you getting with those 95’s?

Haha, funny how different colors work for different folks. For me that color for me is a lot easier on my eyes at night. Coming on and off the gun (especially stalking pigs) it does not leave me night blind near as bad. I don't have as much eye strain after a night of hunting either.

I am shooting the 95 VMAX about 2625 fps out of a 16" barrel. I am using Benchmark. Maybe better powders for more speed, but I have lots of the Benchmark so it is what I am using. The 95 VMAX knocks down coyotes real well. Seems to me the heavier bullets kind of shoot through them, not opening fast enough. The 95 works pretty good on pigs too, surprisingly.
