NM website says draw results will be posted April 28. Historically, they normally post a few days before they advertise.

Me and my son have like a.....3% chance to draw a tag lol. Alone I'd be maybe 6%

Easiest way to get a tag in NM is go through a guide and buy a landowner tag.

Easiest way to get a tag in NM is go through a guide and buy a landowner tag. And or do your due diligence on research, and don’t just apply in the perceived super areas. Experience beats unit every time, you need experience to capitalize on any tag. Might as well hunt every year, instead of focusing on premium/super units that still only have 50% success. Some of the top bulls and buck come out of no name units every year.

Unit 52 I could draw half the time back in the day and LT were $500-$1,000. Those days are LONG GONE now. I'm hearing 5K for a Lt in 52 today (unit wide) They have lost their minds but getting paid for it!

Most land owner tags for elk are $5000.
Last year they ate quite a few.
I offered a couple ranches near me $1500 for an antelope because they had so many cancellations and they scoffed at it. I got a call back 3 days before the end of the season asking me for $2500 and I told them to eat a big of donkey dicks.

Last year I couldn't find a 36 or 17 tag under 9500.

Those prices and the draw prices made me quit. I won’t go back but I have my elk, muley and antelope on the wall.
Getting old might also have something to do with it.

I paid 12,000.00 for two Bull and one cow elk tag last year. Saw over 500 elk first day averaging seeing about 150 each day. I plan to go back.
