Try some Cheerios or Honey Nut cereal. We have had good luck with the deer eating those in the past. Now in Ruidoso, if you get caught they can fine you. Not worth the :bas: as there are always deer in the area.

Not worth the :bas: as there are always deer in the area. No need to go buy cereal at this point. We still have around 30 lbs of corn an half a bag of apples. That little 4 point liked the apples so much that if I didn't let go of the apple, he probably would have taken my fingers too lol. I,haven't seen or heard anything about feeding deer here to be illegal.

One cannot hunt deer in NM over a baited area, but you can feed them, unless there's some city ordinance about it. Supplemental feeding is okay.

Never knew about it being illegal in Ruidoso to feed the deer. The condos we stayed at time before last, had ziplocs of corn for you to feed the mulies.

Great pictures! Awesome close encounters for the kids!
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Cool pics Are y'all just hanging out or going to snow ski? Skiing too. I'm so whooped, I'm in bed by 8:30 every night. LOL. Can't believe that buck still has antlers. There's an 8, a couple 4's, and numerous spikes with antlers. Haven't seen a single antlerless Buck yet.

I tried to learn to sky at Red River and their setup for beginners was horrible. We went to Angel Fire and it was great and I caught right on. Much better set up for beginners.
