Anyone on here install sprinkler systems in NE Texas by chance, the Paris area is what I’m looking for. The few guys that do it around here keep standing me up for a bid and I need it done sooner rather than later. I’m looking for a nice system and not looking to cut corners, just a dependable installer and someone that can service any future issues.

If I were you I would look into a drip system rather than a sprinkler system for one it drips and saves water. The downside is it costs more for the tubing but over time I think it is a wise investment.

Here is one video to give you an idea ofhow it'sdone.

I used a drip system in my vegetable garden only.

I don’t think that’ll surprise anyone.

I also have sprinklers for my beds around my house. I hold my breath when I turn them on each spring crossing my fingers hoping that I don't have to call the man. bang

Ol Thumper, It is very popular in states where water restrictions are rigid or where water is high. You can search the net for " lawn drip irrigation " if you want to do more reading info on it. One thing to remember is sprinkler heads cover above ground and a lot of water evaporates and is lost. In drip irrigation all the water goes into the soil and feeds the root system.

we just got quotes on installing in our front yard that we have been trying to cover with hose end sprinklers for the last 20 years. We completely lost all our St. Augustine last year (I think it was the lawn service putting down chemicals since it went south so quickly, but that's another story). The 3 quotes were all in line with the materials and equipment but the prices were pretty wide. This was in central Texas and very hard to even get bids due to the new housing construction in this area exploding, all construction teams are buried and really don't need any more work, much less a small system addition to an existing home.

We have a drip system in part of our yard and flower beds, I don't like it. I also don't like the rotors because the coverage is uneven and they have to run a long time to put out enough water. I really like the spray head misters since they seem to give the best coverage and most even water dispersal.

I have a underground drip system on the portion of lawn that I have and like it. It doesn't have any rotors and the piping has holes in it which is a true underground drip system. I also had a drip system in the shrubs that had omitters that dripped and watered the shrubs at the base and used 1/4 inch tubing,NOT the same thing as a drip system for lawns.

My neighbor, on one side, kept running over my sprinkler heads with his ginormous lawn mower and breaking them so I had to go back to this on that strip of grass...........

Why not use a trencher? When I have to trench I rent one, if they are full of rocks or roots, I rent the the one you ride on instead of walk behind.
