Caught a few walking the Brazos today in Parker County. Definitely used to fish a lot more than I do now, hunting and the wife keep me busy. So it was nice to catch a few lmb on brush hogs
Well you can get mad at your kids if you want. I’m gonna chuckle and have a good time with mine. Junior tournament circuit just isn’t that serious sir.
Bass fished Ray Hubbard today from 10am-2pm. I told Dad I was only expecting 2-3 bites all day and 3 is what we got. Main lake water was off color and hovering around 50 degrees. That's down right frigid for Ray Hubbard in March!! Checked some deep water Crappie spots and they were deserted so the Crappie are on the move to shallow spawning grounds. Talked to several other people today and nobody had caught a thing so I felt like we at least did better than most. Next weekend things should start busting loose! I will probably start hitting the creeks this week in the afternoons looking for Sandies making their run.

Was thinking of hitting Hubbard creek up in the creek in two weekends. I think the sandies will be on fire then.
I need to get more into fresh water fishing. You guys make it look easy. I haven’t even seen my center console in 3 months since I don’t store it at the house. Waiting on it to warm up in the gulf more.
I'm going to go see if the white bass are getting active again on the Neches tomorrow morning. Caught a bunch of small males before the cold weather came. Water temp should be back up closer to the 50s + increasing day length & moon phase - ought to be good fishing.
White bass run is in full swing on the Neches. Caught around 60 Friday morning - only two females though - so it's still in the early phases...but it was fish every cast in a few holes. Crowds are picking up also.
