Anyone have a dodge 2500 with the 6.4 hemi instead of the Cummins? I don’t pull like I used to and will be more running around than towing. I am looking to trade in my 2011 F-350 single wheel. What do y’all like/dislike if you have one.

I’ve got one in my 2500 and really like it. Zero regrets. I haul a loaded 4-horse trailer with it on occasion and the 6.4 has plenty of power for the job. Cheaper fuel, cheaper maint and no Def all add up as a win for me and my purposes.

I’ve got a ‘15 Tradesman 4x4.
Only 55K on it so far, have had no issues.
No problem pulling, have tied 20K to her a few times.
She likes gas though, especially when loaded.

I've had 5 of them, great engines, only went back to the Cummins when our trailers got bigger. I would consider buying another one in a year when I trade my Trail Boss.

My buddy's got a Power Wagon with the 6.4, we towed my brother's travel trailer a few hours with it one night. Could have run it as fast as we told it to as long as we kept it fed. It drinks more than my old room mate, but it'll do everything you ask of it without breaking a sweat.

I’ve got 92,000 on my work pickup. Other than the cruise working intermittently, it’s been good. I’ve hauled some loads that were probably pushing it’s intended limits, and it handled them fine. Fuel mileage is pretty good, I think, when it’s empty. It’s horrible when towing, but that’s to be expected.

I have a 19 with the 6.4 and I love it. I can't help much, however, because I haven't towed anything with it yet. It has a lot of power and can get pretty good mileage for what it is under the right conditions. I would expect complete garbage mileage from a full size 3/4 ton crew cab 4x4 with a gas engine, but depending on the situation I usually get low 14's to low 17's (not towing). That's with over size A/T tires - it did better with the factory tires. I picked it up in Mineola and on the trip home (175 +/- miles) it got 18.8. That was with really good conditions (98% highway, mostly pretty flat, mostly tail wind, etc.).

Too much power for me.

Better to have it and not need ir than to need it and not have it, on the other hand.
