I was out checking on my two heifers that we’re getting ready to drop their calves. One dropped her calf in the middle of the afternoon. Can’t get a good picture. I’ve been seeing this harrier Hawk fly off of one of my open air hunting blinds seats. Went to take a peak. Three eggs on the seat. Not much to keep them warm underneath. I guess she knows what she’s doing. I’ll leave her be for a few weeks. Pretty cool! ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2021/03/full-66198-284546-eggs.jpg)
Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

I won't go back there for a few weeks. I was actually thinking of putting a game camera on the stand. Sounds like a great idea, but I don't want to mess with her and screw things up! I'll just leave her be.

I'd be tempted to put a bit of dried grass or hay around the eggs to keep them from rolling off.

Then I would hunt out of that stand.

I bet she’ll dress it up with a suitable nest before long.

Very neat find. I saw a red-tail gathering long grass for its nest this week.

I think that momma needs some help, every nesting picture I have seen has some type traditional grass like base. Maybe put on some latex gloves and make a nest for her in the seat and place the eggs on it? I think usually male birds build the nest, I guess her man was a slacker/ dead beat dad
