That was one of the buildings. Also the Waggoner, Baker (Simpson), and a few others we rented floors on. We had the Texas Building (Landmark Tower), as well, but we blew it up.

Younger days in the early to mid 80's we would hit Amnezia or Ritz Rock N Roll or Dallas City Limits, are were mostly pop or rock n roll bars.

Early 90's and beyond were: Stampede, Denim & Diamond, Red River, Borrowed Money and CW bars

The Ranch in Muenster Texas in the mid eighties using my homemade fake ID to get in. With Pantera playing Judas Priest covers.. pretty genius.

Left Texas as a teenager and came back in my late 20s... missed the entire bar scene you boys enjoyed. I can only imagine how great it was. Texas women are the best.

On Sunday nights the original Emerald City band would play. Initially it was a cool place to hang on Sunday nights, then certain players for the Cowboys started coming in there and it went downhill pdq.

never cared for the Southern Junction in Rockwall and you went to Lees silver fox in Terrell if you were looking for a fight or just to watch one

Favorite places were "No where but Texas" and Cowboys on Gaston but went to many others.

Can't remember the names due to the condition I was in when I left them. Also spent 4 years in the Navy and did 4 cruises to many different countries and suffered the same condition. I do know that IF I could remember I would be typing most of the day. Sit at home now married, content and only have a couple every now and then.

First bar I ever went in to. Was my uncle's favorite. I was probably 12 or so. At 15 I could buy liquor at the liquor store on the corner. Good ol Sansom Park.

I used to take girls to the Longhorn Ballroom. I enjoyed Dewey Groom and his Longhorn Band, even when Dewey was off key.

I was a late night regular at a small bar called the Stampede. This was not the big dance hall that came later, It was near Bachman lake. A real rough Toby Keith "I love this bar" kinda bar. They had a mechanical Bull outside and the only reason I went is because I rode real bulls. I started going when I was 17. I would go straight outside to the bull and since I never ordered drinks, I went weeks without getting caught. The guy that operated the bull would put it on the highest setting for me and even call out loud some BS like that he was turning it past 10 and that no one has ever been able to ride it that high. He could not or should say would not throw me, so it would draw people outside to watch. I never had to pay to ride, nor had to pay to drink during the time I could drink. It got other people out there to pay to ride and to drink more. At 17 and looking like I was younger, I eventually got carded, but a couple weeks later I turned 18 (the legal drinking age then) and could go back. Then they changed the drinking age to 19, and I eventually got carded again. Turned 19, then they changed the drinking age to 21. The guy who operated the bull still let me in to ride when I was not legal. I had to knock on the back gate for him to let me in and could not go into the building. The urban cowboy movie was a culture changing movie made people like me go from outcast to popular overnight.

Love that place. We’d go there for lunch when working at the shop, order a steak and some high octane fuel, and get back to work.

I forget the names of them but 2 bars in Richardson off Arapaho at Custer. I remember the owners names but not the bars. I think the strip center was called Camelot. Great times. Buddy talked me in to being a referee at a mud wrestling contest one night. Hosing down the contestants afterwards was best part. An old friend from elementary school through high school was head bartender. She had a real hot lesbian friend that would sit at the bar. Watching the faces on these dudes that hit on her when she told them she preferred girls was classic.
