How much was run of the mill steel cased 9mm ammo going for before before the shortages? I haven't bought any in years. TIA

I recall it was around $10-12 for a box of 50

February 2020, I bought 5 boxes of blazer aluminum cased 115gr at bass pro for $8.97 per box of 50. A week or so later they had blazer brass for $9.97 (box of 50) I bought 10 boxes
A few weeks later no ammo at all and it’s been sparse ever since.

Usual low price on brass 9mm FMJ was 17-18 cents/rd, with occasional sales in the 15-16 range. PSA had the 1000 rd boxes of CCI for $169-179 for quite a while.

Problem with people quoting "Pre-Covid" Pricing, those prices are probably gone forever. With all the ammo manufacturers backlogged for a year, you'll have to get used to higher prices for stuff.
Heck reloading for 9mm is looking really good these days, if you can find primers.

January or February of 2020, I was buying Remington UMC brass 115gr fmj for $40 for a 250rd value pack. May have been when Walmart was getting out of pistol ammo sales but they where selling a lot of it then.

Steel cased 9mm was around $6/50 if bought in quantity.

Traveling down memory lane I guess.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

"pre-Covid pricing" is 100% irrelevant. Maybe I have a lot of it and looking to sell at a non-gouging price. Would you still say it's "irrelevant?"

I did buy 1000 9mm once at the prices mentioned above as you can’t reload it much cheaper than .16cents each with brass cases. Of course I don’t calculate brass as free even if it was... so if you take off .04 cents then it looks cheaper.

Small quantities $12/50 was about the norm I saw. Some people on here will buy it just to resell. I would keep it in PMs for people who listed as wanting to buy. That’s if I was selling here.

Last time I ordered a bunch of bulk from SGAmmo which is normally best price on the web it was $186/1000 for 147gr federal American Eagle and $182/1000 for CCI Blazer brass 124gr.
I’d be interested if you’re selling for close to those prices shoot me a PM.

I've sold some primers and some ammo at my cost to a few on here that I was sure would use them and not sell them. I'd be interested in 9mm if you're selling low. And yes, I'd shoot it, not sell it.
