I lease 4800 acres just NW of Medicine Lodge KS (game unit 16). I've had this place for the last 4 years and it's only been bow hunted by myself and a couple of other bow hunters which means it's had very little hunting pressure. My lease price is going up considerably this year so I am kicking around the idea of letting 2 or 3 gun hunters come in and hunt either the two week muzzle loader season or the 10 day rifle season to offset some of my cost. Like I said, I will take 2 or 3 gun hunters @ $4500 each. You will have exclusive use of the entire ranch (4800 acres) for the 10 day rifle season or the 2 week muzzle loader season depending which weapon you choose. Kansas is a lottery draw for non-residents and when applying you have to choose your weapon. Contrary to what you see on hunting shows Kansas does not have Boone and Crocket bucks behind every tree but there are 170" - 200" deer on this place.

Wish I would have saw this last year I had a 16 tag I wasted because didnt have anywhere good to hunt had a guide scout a few farms up their and the public land and he said all the bucks were busted up to the point you couldnt even count the points by late muzzleloader ,early dec....he told me dont waste my time coming after 2 weeks of scouting.
