I come up with some off-the-wall cooks sometimes, but you can blame this morning's one on Sweet Tooth (aka the wife). She loves the light fluffy texture of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, and said "Hey, I've got an idea for you". I had saved some of my blueberry pie filling from the other day, and she wanted a fruit and cream cheese breakfast roll. OK, I can do that.
Laid out the dough from two tubes, smeared them with the cream cheese, added the berries, and rolled up. Wasn't sure if they would puff or not, so left plenty of room for them to cook. Took about 3 minutes more than the regular directions. Made a quick butter cream frosting to top them off. Came out tasty!! If you've got kids at home, this is a fool-proof one for them to help with!
