I will take this a step further by saying that the sole purpose of the Bible is to point us to Christ. We can't make the book more important than the savior.

One really can't separate the two. John 1 . . . In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and was God. Note the capitalized "W". Jesus is referred to as the Word. "The Word became flesh and dwelt among men". One of the most refreshing passages in the Bible. Much of the New Testament takes us past salvation and leads us to a deeper communion with God the Father through Jesus Christ. Written by the Apostles it is to correct and guide us. Most of it is letters to different churches to encourage and guide.

Bible version? I prefer His presence: "Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him."...."Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them."

All I've ever known is the KJV. Yep, anything else is a tad watered down in my humble opinion.

NIV, but I’ll always have a KJV on hand.

The most beautiful aspect of this thread is we are discussing the Bible. Regardless of the Bible version or denomination, it’s critical for all Christians to band together.
To be determined

Used to use the NKJV but switched to NASB. Wife uses ESV. I prefer NASB over both.
