Could not find my original thread but here is what went down this am.

On one of the routes the mutt and I walk there is this really cool fence that I have admired since they put it up several years ago, it has square metal mesh sections filled with river rocks, unique and very cool looking.

On this mornings walk with the mutt I finally met the owners in their driveway and complimented them on it, small talk ensued about how long living in the area.
They said they have lived in the house for 20 years, before that rented a house on other side of Hillcrest and prior to that rented a house on Rustic Valley Dr.
I replied really, I live on Rustic Valley Dr. do you remember the address? The guy said 7338, I replied with a laugh, no kidding that is our house and we have been there for over 24 years now!
Then the conversation went to the house and the previous crazy owners who were Arabs living in Saudi Arabia

Pretty dang cool!

I am more interested in as to why the rocks don't go all the way up on the right side?

I was in Vegas years ago. I was purchasing a ticket to go to some kind of show and a person standing near the ticket booth remarked about my accent. He said I`ll bet you are from Texas and I replied , yes I am. He asked what town and I replied Stephenville. He then asked me if I know a specific person who lives there. I replied he`s my neighbor. It`s a small world.

Lived in Little Rock for 3+ years... took a day trip to Hot Springs one weekend to go look and decided to go on a Duck Boat ride. Waiting in line, struck up a conversation with the folks behind us and they turn out be some kind of somewhat close relative I never met, living in Houston.

My uncle, now passed, was sitting around a campfire on the YO ranch He started talking to a stranger by the fire and asked the young man where he was from. the guy said Irving,Texas. My uncle said he had a nephew (me) in Irv.ng. He told the guy my name and asked if he'd ever heard of me. The guy laughed and said, "Yeah, he's my father in law". True story.

I found a cousin in a similar way.. At Fort Benning there was a guy in the unit with a last name that I recognized. I asked him where he was from, he said, Louisiana, I asked ig=f he had any relatives in Texas, he said his grandparents on his father's side. I asked if they lived around Rowena or Miles Texas, he said his grandmother, she was a first cousin to my grandmother. His father had married his mother during WWII, and never moved back to Texas.

Several years ago, while waiting to get through customs at Heathrow Airport, we struck up a conversation with a group of teens from Buda, who knew some of my cousins who also lived in Buda.

When I was growing up we lived in a different state than my parent’s families. One day after school my mom took me to Dairy Queen for an ice cream and we ran into her cousin who she hadn’t seen in probably twenty years and had no idea she was living in our town or even state for that matter.

Pretty cool. I also learned a few years ago that I have 4 Cousins living right here in the same town as me. Hadn't seen them since I was little and barely remembered them. Was 7 or 8 years old last time I seen them. One of them lives right across the road from me. I unintentionally reintroduced myself one deer season when I came home from work one day and found my big male Wolfhound chewing on a deer head off in the grass. Nice buck too, had a tag on it and a piece of wire tied to it like it was hanging from a tree. Half of the skull was chewed off already, but I figured I'd read the tag and try & make things right with the owner. Might be special, might be a kid's first deer or something. The tag was barely legible, but I was able to read the name and identify (hopefully) the property that it came from. I called and a man answered, I introduced myself. He said was your Momma so & so? I said yes Sir. He said was your Daddy so & so? Said yes Sir. He started laughing and said "Boy, you have no idea who you're talking to, do you". I said no Sir, reckon I don't. He then formally introduced himself as my Mother's first Cousin, making us 2'nd Cousins. He said "Boy I haven't seen you since you were a little boy, I don't give a damn about that deer head! I didn't know it was you that bought that place across from me, come over here and have a beer with me!" He even had a picture of me & my little brother in his wallet from when we were little, you can tell it had been there for a long time. I have since then become good friends (more like brothers) with his Son (3'rd Cousin) and his wife. Then found out I had another 1'st Cousin in town LOL.

Many years ago I had a step mom who's parents had a bunch of land. We went out there a couple of times to fish and I met a brother of hers there. Years later when my wife and I bought our current house, I found out after we bought it that same brother lived across the street.

Back when I went to a fingerprint comparison school in NC, the guy sitting next to me worked for the Wilmington, NC PD. It turns out his dad worked at Comanche Peak back in the day and he lived in Granbury for several years and went to high school here. When he graduated they moved back to NC.

You can't just dispose of it. It is considered toxic waste.
