My Sig P228 worked over by The Sig Armorer is pretty sweet. It's no Shadow 2 or P210.

Sig P226 with E2 grips 1911 This is the answer I agree with most. I absolutely hate glocks - they don't fit me well, have poor triggers, and I don't like the sights either. The P226 is absolutely stellar in all respects, and a 1911 in 9mm is the best trigger and fastest follow-up, but lower mag capacity. I have a Taurus 24/7 that I actually like better than any Glock I've shot, and it's never had a single jam through many thousands of rounds.

Just got a Langdon Tactical 92 Centurion, full size frame with compact slide. Absolutely amazing gun! Also have full size and compact PX4 9mms, also great affordable guns right out of the box.
Used to be very into CZ. They are great guns, but the slide riding inside the frame rails didn't leave alot of slide to grab, at least for me.

I used to be a Hi-Power fan until I shot my first P228. Not a pistol made or ever will be that could make me give up my Hi-Powers. I don't hate Glock's or plastic pistols, I recommend them to people all the time, I'm just a heavy metal guy and that's just not going to change.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I'm not a naturally good shot with a handgun. I'm just not. My XDm 4.5 9mm would make you think I'm good though.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

I love my HiPowers too. That said I have had most of the pistols mentioned My CZ Shadow is possibly the best shooting 9 i have ever owned. Close 2nd is the Canik TP9sfx with the Vortex Venom. The one that i did not care for that I thought I would like was the Sig 226 but that may just be a ME thing. I liked the Taurus Millennium but was not real confident in it as a carry pistol. My EDC is a Beretta Nano

I can’t believe how uncomfortable my Glocks are after buying a VP9..
I really hate to do what I am about to do, because it will be very painful for you.

Smith and Wesson 5903/5904/5905/5906. I have the 45. AUTO version (4516) and can't see how anything could be better.

For me, it's the CZ 75 SP-01 hands down.

We took a few pistols out last year with 3 different shooters with a Glock 17, a P320 M17, and a M&P9 2.0 5" barrel. We shot over 500rds that day. About two months later we all have M&P 2.0's. Mine has been updated with an Apex trigger. It's sweet!
The higher bore axis on the P320 was notable over the Glock and M&P. The M&P just seemed to be more accurate and had less felt recoil over the Glock. I think they were all great guns and I'd feel comfortable with any of them but the M&P just seemed slightly better. And really, the differences was nitpicking. The guns were better than any of us as shooters!

Even though I prefer Sig, CZ and M&P over my Glocks, I still carry a G19 and G17 is my nightstand gun. Reason for this? I picked up a 9mm carbine that runs Glock magazines, so now I have the ability to reach out a bit more with the carbine if needed and mags are interchangeable.
I really want to pickup a CZ75 compact and start carrying it.

I've been amazed by my Sig P320 X-Five Legion. By no means is it sized for conceal carry but other than that, I've never shot a more comfortable 9mm. If you haven't shot one, do yourself a favor & try it out. Everybody that has shot mine has been impressed. It is really nicely equipped right out of the box & ready to run it however you want. Nightstand, open carry, competition, whatever. https://www.sigsauer.com/p320-xfive-legion.html

Bought a new Cajunized CZ P-09 from Cajun gun works. Although not the same gun as a Shaddow 2 most buddies like it the best. Holds 22 rounds! Very accurate!
It's not what you say, or think, that counts. It is what you DO!
