Wade, you're just in a slump, it will hit the mark when you put a full swing set together for your son! Those are of the debil and are true bishes.

Your interests change as you grow older, I've been there done that.
You'll adjust it's all good.

The older you get, the more your time is worth. Just life.

In the last 6 months I've done a full wooden swing set/playhouse and a barbie dream house. Think the dream house was worse.

Help build a pretty girly playhouse for my nieces when they were little, use it for a backyard deer blind now. None of the anti/crybaby neighbors suspect we hunt out of it. It's perfect LOL. Pop a deer from the playhouse, drag it into the garage quick/close garage door. Lay down plastic on the floor/hang from ceiling/clean deer. Roll plastic up/throw away/open door.....howdy neighbor....what deer?

I was getting that way, but it gets to me watching people fumble around with trying to repair or build something. Just watching the dumb mistakes and hen house ways make me go back to doing it myself.

I’m 78 and I still try to fix things. But, sometimes I look and say screw it. Then I call the man.

I’m with ya bud before we had Colt I used to tinker and work on all kinds of projects. Now the only think I build/tinker on is ARs. Now I’m so busy with side jobs and Colt I can’t keep up with any projects.

Kyle, he never finished projects before or took too damn long. His wife is a good source on this. I see why he pays "the man"

It's a process of getting older and being more successful. At one point I wouldn't think of paying someone to paint my house. It would be too cost effective to do it myself. The older I get, the more valuable my time is. I hired a buddy who is a painter to paint the exterior of the house. Wife told me I should pay them to do the fence too. I said I could do it myself! She said, When? So... I paid to have it painted.

Wade, Kyle....give it a couple years and when your kids are old enough to help you will find lots of projects to do.

Well I quit reloading. Never really cared for it just looked at it as a necessary evil. Now I just buy off the shelf or use Chad's reloads.

I feel ya. Between the spawn and selling real estate full time, along with my popo night job, I’m finding I have more money less time and loosing the desire to do some projects. Some projects I’m glad I lost the desire.

It was only after I retired that I realized the abundance of tools and "stuff" I had acquired through the years to build and maintain things around the house. I'm still trying to figure out why they now seldom get used.

There will come a time in every man's life.........

Had friend who has since pasted but lived in Chicago. Had some MONSTER bucks in the neighborhood each year. They would bow hunt from the back yard but had to wait till Christmas time when the neighbor's went to Hawaii.
Neighbor's come home monster bucks moved on
