No geese flying on my way to Houston yesterday. Years ago I hunted them near Brookshire and there was always flights to been seen in that area. I did not see a single goose as I went in early and left in the afternoon. Place has been taken over by homes and businesses. Are there any anywhere now here in Texas?

Urban sprawl is tough on waterfowl habitat... We have resident Canada Geese in north Texas. I rarely shoot pics of them anymore except for just bird counts. Here's one from a few days ago. We also see large migrate flights of snows in the area.

North of Abilene and all throughout the Panhandle have some of the largest migrating populations in the country.

Haven't seen or heard flocks of geese in several years here in East tx. Always new it was fall or a cold front heading in.

Yep, geese are all in Arkansas now. Company my dad worked for had a lease north of Brookshire. I hunted there a lot in the 70s and 80s. Sometimes the geese were so thick it was hard to carry on a conversation in the blind.

No where near the numbers of past years.
There was enough on a few of the fields in Brookshire, for Scott Cleary to do some goose hunts this year.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

We saw a feed mainly snows between Crandall and Kaufman last week on wheat. 10,000 plus birds. It was incredible never seen anything like that in North Texas

Saw a group of sandhill cranes headed back north yesterday. Heard them before I ever seen them and said dang that sounds like cranes never heard or saw a flock of geese this past fall
