I don’t buy it. How do they know, down the second, when the world was going to end? Sounds like drama and a ploy to justify the blackouts to me.

Hell....we better put up a bunch more windmills in a great big hurry so they can freeze up next time too Batteries JES. Batteries is what we need for the next freezepocalypse. We need to start storing all the extra capacity we have between now and summer.

Can anyone in the industry explain this kind of precision and how they knew we were 4:37 away from the whole geod failing?

They were ready to turn this into a political hit piece...

Fact wind power’s foot print is 100x the size for the same out put as NG.
Also it's been said if US was completely green energy, it would take a large mass the size of Texas, which would displace 30 million people...

From the official letter the DOE sent ERCOT on February 14th stating they could use as much energy as they needed to keep texas going but they’d have to pay an emissions fine of $1,500/KWh. ERCOT chose the penalty was too high, obviously.
