I expected more than 5 would have resigned.

How many of these skid marks bailed out?

I haven't seen anything in the news for these folks. They are the inside people that actually get stuff done and IMO, are the ones most responsible for why things didn't happen. Some big named board member is listening to these folks and helping to set direction. However, board members aren't usually the guys implementing stuff. If anyone on the inside resigns, I would expect it would be the CEO, COO and the Grid Planning and Operations guy.

On a different note, it looks like IT jobs pay pretty well over at Ercot.

Thanks,
Rich

Why does a VP of human resources need over $30,000 per month in salary? HR is a joke.

I have to opposing point of view... I would rather have a diversity of people. Some one maybe from Florida, for the sake of hurricanes.... some one from up north for the sake of blizzards... some one from the desert, that know a little something about heat, and droughts....... people who deal with extremes.... but thats just me.... not to mention this lays at the foot of the state, they are the ones in charge of the grid. They should of enclosed, and protected the power plants when Ercotnmade the suggestions.

I'm more interested in their qualifications than their geographic location

I'm glad we agree.

Also all elected state officials live in Texas..... and they are ones with the power..... how did that workout?

The system has worked pretty good for years. The problem this time was not ERCOT, it was the failure of the power providers to adequately winterize their equipment, Up north gas power plants don't shut down or have to reduce production because of the winter conditions, nor do the wind power generators freeze up.

Yep. Ercot seems to be the punching bag in a world full of people that need someone to blame for a century storm and the havoc it brings.
