Price is crazy, but that's a cool looking truck!

That’s a good find, but stupid price. That’s an under 8500# light 3/4 ton, back then you could get two different GVW’s in 1/2 and 3/4 tons. I always likes that body style, the next one was a joke. I drove one like that for a while in HS.

Had a 72 F-100 4x4 4 speed with a straight 6 300 cubic inch motor. From 73 on they just kept reducing hp and compression, adding on smog control. It was about 25 years before we seen any real horsepower back in the motors. Wish I had that old truck back.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

My 1st truck was that body style. 1985 F250 inline 6 with a granny gear, single cab. I miss that truck.

That 300 cubic inch engine was about indestructible. I tried hard to destroy one every day for six years at UPS in the late 70's and never had one to crater. At that time I didn't know of any other motor in anything at UPS. Maybe somewhere else in the US, but not here. Not long after leaving UPS I found a like new F-100 with that motor. I had it for a couple years and never an issue, except terrible gas mileage.

Our 81 model my grandad got was plagued with that. I think the day he got it he took the catalytic converter off so it wouldn’t set the pasture on fire, cut the belt off the smog pump, changed to 16” wheels with Farm Bureau tires, adjusted the seat and put a piece of electrical tape on the red smog light on the dash. When he was done with that pickup years later, the seat was rusted in place, it had never been washed, and the tape was still on that light.

First was a 71' F-100, 2WD long bed, 302, four speed. No power steering, no power brakes, and I had no money. I don't miss that truck.

Go try and find a Gen 1 Bronco that's not a rust bucket. Talk about stupid prices. I've been looking for 2 years with no luck. Wish I could track down my dad's '76.

BaT is a great place to sell a vehicle but not to buy. Prices are way too high.

I had one for several years that was the same year model and color but it was a super cab. Mine had aftermarket tires and wheels and wasn't nearly that clean.

I was 17, just back from AF Tech School in 77 and bought a a brand new 78 with a 351 and 4 speed, long bed. Dark blue and baby blue, lots of chrome. Never even driven a standard until I drove it off the lot. Had a lot of good times in that truck.
