Besides the packed bluebird house with 13 dead.

I found another bluebird house with 4 dead. And they weren't packed in.

I've been finding dead birds of all kind from around the front gate to the back forty.

I think we saw -6F at the lowest. I still have ponds froze over this morning.

It was certainly one for the record books.

I went through 80lbs of quality seed and loaves of breads, peanut butter and cherries and raisins cookies and crackers etc.........and refilling and emptying water. We had hundreds of birds out front..........this morning only a few came by.

That is a shame. I too dumped about 20lbs of seed on my back porch and was inundated with birds and had a few squirrels and rabbits join in. Only found 1 dead in my driveway but imagine there are more. I felt bad for the little buggars.

All part of the Father's plan. Hate to see animals suffer.

We kept 3 feeders as full as we could. Had to disable the squirrel proof ones because so many birds would be on them they would close off. We put out over 50 lbs of sunflower and 40 of premium seed. I never saw a single bluebird at any feeder. I did see some hawks taking random birds from the feeders to feed themselves.

One shot is all it should take.

One reason bluebirds are so vulnerable is they are not big seed eaters, preferring mealworms and insects instead.

Our doves in the backyard took a beating, we’ve found a bunch of them and their still dying as of today. They roost in Liveoak trees in the backyard and their simply falling out of it dead. We have found a few different species but the doves didn’t fair very well.

I’m not sure where the rest of the birds are either, they’ve all disappeared since it warmed up.

Around here, I found mostly dead Robins.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Only had a few here, those little birds (finch or wrens?) eat the brains out of dead birds. Weird
