My pool seems to be fine (after the freeze & no power for 5 days) & everything is functioning properly except one thing. The manual switch (Intermatic 104M) for the waterfall won't turn the waterfall on but I can flip the switch by the back porch & everything functions fine. Manual switch flipped to on, nothing. Back patio wall mounted switch flipped on, functions as normal. I'm assuming I lost power to the waterfall timer but the timer next to it & all pumps work. What gives?

must not have power to that timer? you have a meter to check? or the pump is getting power and an overload is tripped on the motor

Looking at your pic - where are the on/off toggle 'dealies' that are supposed to be thumb-screwed onto the time plate?

Yeah, I don't see dogs on your dial to trip it

Yes you need timer dogs, however what I’m getting from your OP is you may be a little confused on the process. Electric comes to the time clock box from the breaker, then feeds the light switch, and the light switch feeds the pump. You should be able to leave the light switch on and add timer dogs to the clock and it will come on whenever you set it to run. The switch being a manual over ride/interrupter. If you look inside the time clock panel at the upper right hand side you should see motor gears turning, that lets you know the clock motor itself still works.

I’m not asking why isn’t it turning on and off at certain times. It’s my waterfall. I turn it on manually one of 2 ways for the past 2 years. I either use the manual arm at this timer to turn it on or I turn it on with the switch. I don’t use the clock aspect ever for it. I can still turn it on with the switch on the patio wall but I can no longer turn it on with the manual arm on this timer. My filter pump timer uses the cogs and clock aspect as that needs to come on every day, at certain times that are dictated by where I set the cogs on the clock. This only needs to come on when I’m manually turning it on, either by the timer manual on/off lever or by the switch on the patio wall.

Btw, the manual lever is set to OFF 99% of the time. The patio switch works with this manual lever ON or OFF. The gears in the timer unit are spinning with the patio switch ON or OFF, doesn’t matter.

Sounds like yours was wired well, and the clock mechanism isn’t making contact. Turn on pump via T104 mechanism, go turn off breaker. Then remove the mechanism using the sheet metal tab at the top. See if the post on the back of the mechanism are broken, burnt, or not moving.

I had one for years but as it got older the contacts in the switch became hard to engage, like rickym says. If I turned it back and forth a couple of times it would work.
Maybe it's just age.

It’s less than 2 years old and has been flipped a max of 20 times. 10 of those were today trying to figure out why it won’t work.
