Do you ever see desirable property then seek the owner to ask for permission to hunt? Any success doing this?

Years ago that worked, today, not so much.

Seek connections. Friends, family, etc.

Ask.

All they can do is say no.

Don't be discouraged when they do. Keep trying.

Most landowners either manage their own or have close friends that do. Bbar gives the best advice on this

From what I’ve seen lately, farmers and ranchers no longer have pig or coyote problems as they want to charge for my volunteering efforts.

We still maintain 18,000 acres in east Texas that free for us to hunt as we see fit as long as we can prove we are actively killing coyotes and pigs. I’m sure that day will end when someone flashes money in his face for the same thing
