Anyone have any ideas how the arctic front that dropped down on Texas has effected the turkeys?

Now that it's warming is anyone seeing birds?

Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

I haven't seen any dead turkeys or evidence of them yet. I did find several doves, meadowlarks and sparrows that didn't make it, though.
The turkeys hung around the feeders and cleaned up pretty good.

I think our herd is mostly fine. Saw a good group of our gobblers yesterday. Our young Rios in the yard handled it well.

Saw some today outside of Pottsboro. Guess they made it through okay. Lots of other type birds didn't. I don’t know how any wildlife did honestly, but they made it mostly.

These boys didn't leave the roost for two days, all five survived and were up around the pens yesterday.

I have been watching a large group strut and display for last week to 10 days in a small secluded field behind my house.
Quite a few with various sizes of white patches and one mostly white.

A truckload of white turkeys overturned on highway about 5 miles from here in 1970 and their genes are still showing up in the flocks around here.

Cheers,
