with tanks freezing over its a problem to get water for the cows, take an open top 55ga barrel, weight with rock so it will sink to the bottom, with the top sill above the water/ice fill with wood and some old motor oil burn. will keep ice free around and cattle can drink

Worth considering but all my tanks are dry and I'm watering from the meter.
