Went to Weatherford today to complete a transaction, took I-20 from Big Spring to Weatherford. I-20 looked like they had a demolition derby down the full length, I lost count on the number of crash scenes I passed at around 60 and debris was everywhere. What a mess that road was during the storm.

Dang. I hate to hear that.

I've drove I-20 twice in icy weather. Worst driving times I've ever had. 84 coming from Lubbock was fine and hwy 6 out of Eastland was fine both time but 20 was a icy mess. Screw that road in bad winter weather

Would rather be on 20 that southbound 35 in icy weather right now.

20 is very dangerous

From, Tye west to about Van Horn IH20 is a giant "Cluster", going east, it is best to stay off 20 until you get to the Strawn turnoff. From Strawn to the Brock turn off is okay, the crazy factor starts and never ends until Monroe Louisiana.

I hate that highway, it’s a disaster from Odessa to Shreveport as far as I’m concerned. Everytime I’m in Sweetwater for work, i notice that stretch from Roscoe to Merkel always has a wreck, even in good weather.

You can be the only vehicle in that stretch and still become a statistic.

I just got in from Florida today. i20 around Shreveport was pretty horrible as well.

I live in Weatherford and travel to Baird (Abilene) quite a bit...20 is a joke!! Good weather or bad...

Not familiar with that stretch of road why is that dangerous?

I really don't know. When you get closer to the Permian Basin the big rig traffic increases due to oil field traffic but most is just pretty easy driving. The storm pretty much explains why this time it was so hazardous but we seem to have allot of wrecks even when it nice. I can come up with 100 reasons why traffic becomes dangerous but most will be due to individual drivers. Long stretches of road tend to make one careless.

Straight boring road, people on their cell phones, almost everyone has their cell phone in use. Saw one idiot one day working in a laptop leaned up against the steering wheel doing 75mph. I am sure he was paying attention to the road. I don't drive because of a bad leg and one blind eye, so I get to watch the chit other people do. It is like how do you pull out on the interstate and land up going the wrong way? My guess is drunk or not paying attention. But it happens too often on 20.
