Cat or Dog? I think I know but some disagree...

The snow is probably covering up the claw marks, meaning they bury in the snow and we cant see them in the pics.

If there are no claw marks there deep in the snow then its a kitty kat...and a big one at that

But my bet would still be on a dog with the claws/nails just deep in the snow. Can almost make one out

Really big, If it were here in Idaho I'd dump 'em out and run it. But we don't have a lot of BIG dogs in our areas. Looks like it might have a couple toenails showing in that second pic, tho.

Not real defined... but the paw shape tells me "cat".

One thing for sure, the one on the left is the more feared of the two.
That’s is a cat track. Probably a youngster or a big bob. Lot’s of lion have been hunted along that river for well over a century. Nice find, did you get a picture of the path you can post? Canines will drag the front paws where as a cat will not unless they are being ran.

Profile is nothing like a big cat.

Track is not well defined enough for us to make out the heel pad or much of the toe prints....but overall the scale/profile is wrong for it to be a cat.
