Been having quite a few ducks on my tank lately but never seen anything like this, woke up to find over 40 of them in and around my front yard. I guess the ice and temperature drove them away from the water?

I do not know much of anything about Ducks, I will admit I have never heard of a “Whistling Duck”.

Black Bellied Tree ducks, or Whistling ducks are cool, and found all over Texas. Surprised to see them still there, with this cold spell. There are tons of them around the deer leases we hunted in Three Rivers and Uvalde. Especially colorful and pretty in the spring, and see them when hunting turkeys

Black belly whistling tree ducks for sure. I live in N.C. and they were thick here all spring and summer , they left in October ,not supposed to be on our flyway. Forrest
