There is a sucker born every second. How are they suckers William? For many people this week it was survival I have 8 coworkers that I know For sure and more that I don’t know their business that the inside of their home didn’t get above 47 and most have small kids Yep I would have paid whatever price to keep my son warm.

split a 1/2 cord last week knowing this weather was coming in. Stacked it on the porch under a tarp. Good old oak!

There was a man and his son driving around the Dodd City area Tuesday with a load of firewood and giving it to people who needed it. Still some good folks in these parts.

Yep, same here in Weatherford. Local tree trimming company had a bunch & cut a bunch to give to those in need. As many scoundrels as there are we have plenty of good folks who go unrecognized.

I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

I was caught with damp wood I couldn’t get to light this last week. No power and 4 kids. Found some good folks across from the posse grounds. Selling cut wood for $1 a stick. I was glad to pay it. To keep my kids warm I would’ve gladly paid $5 a stick. They were offering the honor system as well for those in need.

We got people over here in Addison and Carrollton selling firewood for $2 per stick and this is just regular split wood . they had a cord or so in a truck selling 10 pieces for only $20. There are permanent roadside sellers in this area with signs "Camp Wood" at that price. City pricing I guess

When I go to the grocery store I look at the green carp they are selling and think to myself that someone is going to be awfully disappointed when it does not burn.

I do this when I run out of kindling. One thing I did do was plan ahead with dry firewood. Now if I can just find gasoline. With 2 big pecan trees one thing I never lack is good kindling. Also I cut my own wood and always have a mix a small, medium, and large. I only use kindling and newspaper to start fires in house.
