Any critter tracks across it? What some have said are crack are actually where the ducks were walking around, they were going in single file.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

We got a heat-wave hear... Went out crank Blazer, No jacket required... A whopping 0° big difference over -20°.... HWY_MAN any fish in that pond ? Lakes freeze over & oxygen used up.... We have lots of die off each year... Some lakes (shallower ones), they put aireators in them... Stay Safe & Warm... Social distancing from MN... edit : cracks in ice, seen them 3-5" deep, got lots of crazy stories about that... Night/day the ice shifts, causing cracks... popping noises... Bro. was night fishing, close ta open water, half asleep, ice popped, he made 2nd door in homemade portable fish house.... It will surely test your nerves... Even those who been fishing 50+ years...

All of our stock ponds large or small are solid and have been since Wednesday. About 4” thick.
Luckily I have a couple creek that flow goi g through my place and they have stayed open and I haven’t had to chop ice to water the cows!
