Living it now. 40 hours since it went down came back on briefly once.

Pretty comfy here though cabin fever is worst of it.

Three days one time, years ago, after a storm knocked out a transformer on our line.
It was winter, the kids were young.
We had a wood burning fireplace that provided heat and we also cooked in it. We all slept in the den.

I was sure glad when the power came on.

4 days after a tornado back in the spring of 2006. We haven't lost power during this storm as we live close to the VFD micro grid

Went 14 days once but the longest all time was 23 days in Oolagah Oklahoma from the worst ice storm I’d ever seen. It took us 4 days just to get a road cut to get the the main road. We were literally cut off from the world for the 4 days, no cell service, no anything, we were on our own.. Kinda freaky with nobody knowing if you were ok or if everybody else was ok.

6 or 7 days in Alabama 2004. Hurricane Ivan. We all brought our grills out in the street and had a neighbors cookout.

No water, no power since Sunday so far.

Our supply of firewood, and gas for the generator should hold out another 6-7 days at current comfort levels. With two chest freezers and two side-by-side refrigerators, food is not a problem.

This has been a good wake-up call for deficiencies in my planning.

My heart goes out to all of you who are without power. Can't imagine what you who ha a family is going through.

I have an extra 5,000 watt Honda generator if anyone needs to borrow it. It’s ready to roll with a full tank of gas..

Northridge earthquake 1993. The reason we moved to the Great State of Texas. no power for 4 days. gas shut down for obvious reasons and couldn't stay inside. It was in January and cold, not this kind of cold but California cold, in the 30's overnight. We got here before the mass California migration. LOL

48 hours, from 8am Monday until 8am today. Never lost power during Harvey, and only 8 hours during Ike.

2 weeks in Florida after hurricane Charlie. I’d take this any day over being hot and humid at night laying in bed sweating.

Going on 52 hours here.

I've been spoiled and the various shortages on different threads make me realize just how badly.

Been on rolling black outs for 3 days now. One hour is the longest so far.

We got 2 hours of Power between Sunday morning at 3am and Monday night. The house got to 37 degrees. I'm sure others had it worse, but it sucked.

Camping was 2 weeks, at the house 3 days

if we are talking about camping hell I went 2-3 a few times while camping in Afghanistan lol

Elk hunting in Idaho. 5 days. At home, 8 hours Sunday or Monday it’s all running together.

This round, maybe 90’min at the most. Having rolling power outages about every 30 min, but wood stove is keeping it 68-70. Even at -2 yesterday am. We are lucky!!!!!!
