Big limb froze and broke off. Should have known better and cut it down beforehand. Took out water line going to all restrooms in the house.

Not sure what I’m seeing in that picture but it doesn’t look good.

Limb broke through and busted through the roof in the process it broke the water line running through the attic. All this happened within minutes of getting power. Heard a bang and dogs went nuts calmed them down for a bit but they kept at it and were outside my lil ones room opened the door and voila.
No idea what actual damage is as far as physical and monetary but it’ll be substantial I imagine. Being on the coast I have wind and flood so I should be covered but the meantime will be a pita. Don’t know what insurance will do total out the house or fix it? Being a few miles from the water mold is likely going to set in faster than they can get to it and I know remediation isn’t cheap. It sounds like i have water in between a 1/3 or more of the walls in the house.

There are a lot of people right now in the state with water damage due to busted pipes. I wonder how this is all going to pan out. BTW that was a good post on the “marvels” of green energy”.

Check your homeowners insurance. They might cover it.

No limbs, just a frozen “insulated” water supply line that froze above the garage ceiling.. It could’ve been much worse (could’ve been above the interior ceiling) & I’m thankful we were home at the time to get the water shut off-
I really hate to do what I am about to do, because it will be very painful for you.

I cut these limbs Saturday going over the house, these are after pics, this just look ripe to break. I plan to cut it down more, but this was the best I could get done on Saturday. They shade the house nicely in the summer, but not worth the risk of them breaking.

I was able to cut it off fairly quickly but man I was surprised how much water came out for being such small diameter.
T-Bone that is rough man. Best of luck to ya.
Already contacted insurance agent. He said I should be good to go but don’t know how fast everything will be processed.
As long as My family is good I’m good. Everything else can be replaced.
