Yeah they're all puffed up here whenever they stop eating for a bit. I was sitting here working and heard a "bang" on the window and saw a bird dive into the snow then move forward a bit to where I couldn't see it. I thought "he's not going to make it out of there" so I geared up and went outside. Bent over and ran my hand under the snow and a dove boiled up out of there and took off.

I noticed the one-legged stance/perch a lot too. Makes perfect sense when you think about it.

Even feeding and watering the birds since this freeze started but this eastern bluebird didn’t make it last night. He was the only bluebird hanging around.

We lost one that died near the barn. His buddies were zipping around eating protein pellets near the silo. He just couldn't take the cold.
