People are "losing their homes" because of down power lines not black outs...

Yes, that is correct...and next time, capitalize Texas.

So if Texas secedes are they going to get torn down? Replaced by something more reliable?

For sure the black outs we are seeing in the dfw metro are not rolling, they are pretty static...but yes people losong their homes and up here has nothing to do with downed power lines. Maybe transformers freezing and blowing, but lines are fine. That may change in the next day or two.

If you’re going to use big words, you should understand them better. The two ideas can certainly work together, to a point.

I guess I don’t know why that’s significant.

I really hope this is a joke. My comment was a joke, as most of this thread is (i hope).

If i offended you by anonymously making fun of your sister, then buddy you got bigger issues than an internet forum smart azz making fun of you and your sister.

If i offended you i am sorry, but seriously, if i offended you, you need help.

Still not sure why you guys are fixated on ohio, i didn’t bring it up and it wasn’t prt of the discussion, but since you keep bringing it up i will explain....see in ohio there are real trees that are taller than 30 feet and they get quite a few big storms. Those trees drop limbs or the whole tree and those cause power outages. Sometimes ice does the same thing, similar to what happens in texas on occasion.

In texas all the trees are shorter than the power lines (except east texas but you guys dont really claim that do you, its really west louisiana) so the storms that come here dont cause trouble unless they are big enough to topple the power line.

But again, why keep bringing up ohio? You wanna bring ohio with us when we texit? It really is a good state.

The argument was being made about ohio having issues with heat waves, which is not an issue and according to the article posted said the same thing...so yeah, lets not let a good story get in the way of facts

Trees in Texas are a big reason the power goes out. You are saying no trees are taller than the power lines? Thats craziness. Where are your facts?

SA, if you are having trouble, this thread is a satire, joke, humor. IT ISN’T serious!!

The funnier thing is how many are taking it personally, like i smacked them in the face.

Dudes, lighten up!

If you’re without power, do you really care the reason?

My power is working great. They built a small Baylor Scott n white fairly close to my house. That was a selling point to the neighborhood.

Exactly, who here is taking it personal?

TB created a post and is now surprised when people discuss the topic he posted about and respond back to his comments.

That is also data for 2017 only...Texas had a little wind event that year in late August and into September called Harvey.

The only thing i have seen discussed is how ohio cant handle weather, people saying i am way off base and how the national championship took a toll on me, and i did get threatened about a joke about someones sister i have never even met...that’s discussing the OT for sure!
