A friend of mine knows a meteorologist and since Sunday he is told me that they are under forecasting this entire storm I laughed at him but every day they have missed the Lows and the highs where I live by at least 5 degrees. His buddyy says that this will be worse than the 83 and 89 storm so far he's more accurate than the weather apps .

Take it for what it's worth. But they were screaming rolling blackouts Monday. Last night they started telling people to conserve energy.

Let me preface that I have nothing to base this on.

I’ve lived here my whole life and am constantly let down by winter forecasts headlines. Zero does not seem realistic to me.
Never snows when they say.

Hope that weatherman is wrong about ice and snow. A week or so with no power in these temps is going to be rough for a lot of folks probably including me. On the bright side all the fish and game should keep well in the freezer. Mother in law down the road has gas logs for the fire place and gas cooktop.

We haven't been close to the forecasted highs since this started. Every forecast goes lower and lower.

I don't see it getting that cold but I'd rather have the protection as to need it and not have it.

If -4 here, so yea its possible... It hasn't been above freezing here since Tuesday night.

We’ve been at least 5-10 degrees colder every day and night than they have been predicting, it could be a lot worse. My friends in Tulsa are saying their being told to prepare for 2 weeks of no power and temps as low as -20. Stuffs going to die and break at these temps, I’ve been in -10 degrees with a 30 mph and it’s not good, you can die real quick when your not prepared like everyone in Texas right now..
