I shot a free range red deer in November on my dads lease. I specifically went for pigs but ended up connecting with a 240 lb red hind. We got about 70 pounds of meet off of it which me and my dad split. Do you cook it like a normal whitetail or is there any specific recipes or ways to cook it? Any recommendations?

I was given some steaks couple years ago and chicken fried it, was very good.

A friend gave me some packages of steaks awhile back and they were delicious ! The processor did a good job of tenderizing the meat and it was tender and tasty !
