Sophomore in college. I spent that Christmas break feeding cows, chopping ice on tanks and shooting deer.

Then, the next year(Jan 85), back from Korea, there I was in San Antonio, where you never expect snow, when... we got 13.5 inches.

Just finishing Arming Basic Training at Ft. Sill, OK
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I was living in Plano. I remember big snow drifts on Park Lane at West Senoir High. Some idiot got stuck in one and when he got back to car the locks were frozen. I went duck hunting on Lavon north of Lucas. The lake was frozen to the bridge. I found a thin batch just north of the ramp. Broke up some ice and threw some dekes out. My Golden went in the water with with me and was a block of ice when she got out. I shot a Greenhead that landed about 150 yards out on ice. It was all I could do to hold her back. I got home and her tail was a ball of ice. Buddy of mine that was a guide called and said he took a group to Farmersville that could not shoot. We went out that afternoon and busted up the ice and every duck in the county wanted in that open water. Fortunately I had a 4wd back then and has a blast busting through the snow drifts. DFW did not get a lot of snow but what we had was powder and it drifted.
