Stuff of nightmares watching those type of crashes.

Please people slow the hell down in bad weather. If there is potential for ice or if it's super foggy, just slow down. Just over a year ago Lubbock lost a firefighter and had another badly injured by a driver who lost control and hit them. The driver was flying down the interstate with a cruise set on a early morning that was wet and below freezing.

My opinion is if you are driving like that and lose control and kill someone, you should go away for manslaughter.

I always take the toll road when I go through there.

The roads north of there were good to go this morning. People get complacent and forget that there could be slick spots anywhere. Doesn't take much of a bad spot to create that mess.

I drove by that pileup just a few minutes after it happened, trying to get to Amarillo for a funeral. The roads were pretty bad that morning. When you see that many emergency vehicles in an area ahead of you on a day like that, maybe, just maybe, the thought should cross your mind about what might happen in the next few seconds.

I think FedEx is going to be writing some big checks. There are some personal injury attorneys wringing their hands right now.

I still say ban big rigs from inside the metroplex during the worst winter weather. Whether the wreck(s) was caused by one or not they surely contributed to the deaths.

I'm not 100% sure which way the traffic is suppose to be flowing in this picture.

I think every time I have driven in Dallas in bad weather there is a wrecked FedEx truck. They really need to just park those tandem rigs when the weather is bad. The lawyers are licking their chops and counting their money. Ben Abbott is probably in Ft. Worth right now.

Horrible. I’m shocked that there were no fires. That would have made horrible situation even worse.

I took my sweet time getting to work and had no issues. I was shocked by the number of DBags driving fast and making multiple lane changes.

The mess started with an 18-wheeler vs patrol car and then the pile got bigger.

People can barely drive in the rain up here, add in the ice and they lose their damn minds. Monday between Sherman and Denison we have 50-60 wrecks. First Responders were very busy that day.

That FedEx truck slamming into the pile is hard to watch.

Maybe you're not sure what interstates are for.

I would think about two things, one in icy conditions, and one all the time.

Close the express lanes in ice.....there is no escape area....you're penned in, like this morning.

And just like a lot of left lanes on highways, prohibit these big rigs from the express lanes all the time.

I’ll go even further: ban big rigs from anywhere inside loop 820 during peak traffic hours. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

since there will be no deliveries, you won't have a pipe to smoke out of.
