Long story short, owners are selling part of the land and I have to move my camp. Remaining owners have shown us the area I can put my new camp. My concern is the new camp area will potentially impact the area I need to place one of my hunting setups. I the picture I’ve attached, the circle would be my camp and the three X’s are feeder, box blind and tripod for bow hunting. Do you think camp being 400 yards from the feeder will have a big impact on the deer/hogs?

No
We see deer tracks in the compound all the time. They get used to it like every thing else.

I think it will be ok.
If you like to make a ruckus in camp i would work on not doing that anymore though. Our property is 1 mile long and a 1/2 mile wide The furthest you can get away from camp is roughly 880 yards and that puts you on the fence line, we stay considerably off the fence lines. Each of our stands is approximately within 400 yards away from camp. Some have more brush and terrain between them and camp than others, but it doesn't seem to bother anything too much. At the stand that is the closest and has the least brush and elevation change difference i can occasionally here the kids playing outside at camp if the wind is light and blowing the right direction. I can tell the deer notice it too, but it has never ruined a hunt.

If normal camping activities, probably not. If lots of joyriding, cavorting around on 4 wheelers, ATVs all hours of day/night, and what not, popping fireworks, etc. then most likely will impact hunting.

It should work. I have 20 acre with my deer stand about 50 yards from camp. The feeder is 150 yards from camp. My brother got his Christmas deer while me and my other brother were drinking, cooking and cleaning a hog. My son has gotten 2 deer, my father in law got one,my dad got 2 and I got 2 over the last 7 years from the same stand. We like to sit up some nights listening to music. Hasn't messed up hunting at all.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

I guess your a product of what you grew up with. The old square head we leased from for the majority of my life would have shot us for doing 1/2 of that.

I have a feeder behind the barndo, not for hunting, but watching deer in morning and afternoon. I regularly see many does and a few bucks at that feeder, even though there is regular traffic and activity around.

It always fun seeing deer under the house feeder that is 75 yards away from a smoker that is bellowing that blue smoke.

The deer won’t care. We have a blind/feeder no more than 100 yrds from our camp and it hunts fine.

I camp about 125 - 150 yards from my blind...no issues seeing big boys.

Might actually help a little - human scent won't be a big surprise when they smell it.

I have shot deer out of the bedroom window of our little deer cabin. A feeder is 125 yards away, we have seen deer at the feeder while cooking hamburgers out front of the cabin.

I remember early on in my lease hunting about reading a story where a certain hunter partied well into the night. Didn't care to go out in the morning. Got up to walk to the privy and saw a deer never seen before by any of the hunters. Went back in, got his gun and shot the deer from the cabin,. Turned out to be one of the largest whitetails taken in TX that year.

One of the most productive setups at our lease is called "Kitchen" because it's 350 yards as the crow flies from the cabin's kitchen window. I think you're good.
Curious, though, are you allowed to hunt that whole property? I see some other good spots to place feeders/blinds!
