Looking for 280 Ackley ammo. Prefer Nosler but Federal will work. Accubonds, BTs, Partitions, etc...

Marksmen Firearms in Mansfield, TX has some on the shelf but I don't know if they'll ship. $75-85 a box for Nosler IIRC.

Can't you also fire form 280 Ackley from 280 rem? I love stupid people. You cant fire 280 ackley. Ackley has a 40 shoulder. It wont fit a 280. Unless im the stupid one

Can't you also fire form 280 Ackley from 280 rem? Absolutely. That is the purpose of an Ackley Improved. Take a standard SAAMI .280, fire it in a .280 AI. chamber, and presto... a .280 AI is formed.

He is asking if you can fireform .280 AI from a SAAMI .280...that is exactly what you can do. You place the SAAMI .280 in a rifle chambered for a .280 AI. The pressure expands the brass to fit the .280 AI chamber. That is "fireforming".
