Thanks, he's actually (we think) GSD and Husky, with the Husky traits being most of his personality. Thus, the bane of my existence part, LOL. He's been a handful. But he's never come across a stranger, only best friends he hasn't met yet, and loves every other dog he meets. Best personality of any dog I've ever had.

The story goes, I had to put my last Shepherd down, and had been putting it off. Round about the time that I just couldn't put it off any longer, this guy walked up to my step daughters, mother in law's, neighbor's house. (If you can follow that train.) He didn't have a chip, they tried for a couple weeks to find the owner, and were going to have to take him to a high kill shelter when my step daughter asked me if I could help. I work with a couple GSD rescues, so I agreed to take him, network him, and find him a new home.

Between me not wanting to come home to an empty house, and him needing a place to stay... he's been here ever since.

Well that is a good story! Surprising as beautiful as he is someone was not beating the bushes to find him. Looking at your pictures I am going to guess he is not all that old maybe 18 months. The first couple of years I had Ranger everyone would tell me he had wolf in him. I decided to give my wife his DNA for Christmas, He came back 100% GSD. I bet yours has more GSD than you think. I have a THF friend who goes by the name Cbump. Fingered he'd get a kick out of this.

It was the end of the day when I parked my police van in front of the station. As I gathered my equipment, my K-9 partner, Jake, was barking, and I saw a little boy staring in at me. 'Is that a dog you got back there?' he asked.
'It sure is,' I replied.
Puzzled, the boy looked at me and then towards the back of the van. Finally he said, 'What'd he do?'

My black lab Misty used to do that. We said the same thing about her being a lady because she certainly was. Beautiful girl you got there!

Getting really attached to this guy. He is a good learner. “Rowdy”, was on the classifieds here around the holidays and the Mrs. and I decided it was time for another dog.
