While putting out hay for horses, I heard the dogs baying. Went to where they were and they had this coyote bayed in one of our ponds. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2021/02/full-38981-280043-img_3175.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2021/02/full-38981-280044-img_3174.jpg)

Oh my Lord...is that an old Stevens Crackshot?
I cut my teeth on one just like that (now sadly lost to time). I haven't seen one of those in donkey's years...
Congrats on the 'yote incidentally!
Mark

218 Bee, that is a Stevens Crackshot. Bought it back in the late 70's. It comes in handy from time to time.

Nothing fancy, but an awfully useful utility gun. My Dad said that when he was a lad they used theirs every time they butchered a hog. One .22 Short in the ear did the job every time! Glad to see that yours is still being productive. I'm a wee bit jealous as Daddy let his go back in the mid '80s...wish he hadn't done that! Mark
